I am in engineering but want off the machine. Is that possible?
It is possible and it is a well-trodden route. Years at an installation produce knowledge that counts directly in work preparation, service coordination, quality and the sale of technical products. What you have to learn again is not the trade but the way you write it down. Getting it on paper: writing a CV after redundancy.
How long does a security check take?
That varies widely per employer and per level, from a few weeks to a few months. It is no reason to avoid that direction, but it is a reason to start early and keep searching meanwhile. What applies in your case we work out at the intake.
Do you include Enschede and Almelo?
As standard. The three towns are ten minutes apart and share their employers in practice. Keeping it to Hengelo is possible, though the choice gets considerably smaller.
What does this cost?
