Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions about career coaching
How likely is career coaching to lead to a new job?
Career coaching significantly increases your chances by giving you insight into your talents and helping you work purposefully towards your next step. Whether this leads directly to a new job depends on your goals: some people make an internal move, while others orient themselves towards a completely new direction.
What is the difference between career coaching and outplacement?
Career coaching is intended to give direction to your career - whether you want to grow, switch or find more balance. Outplacement is used specifically after dismissal, with the aim of finding a new job outside the organisation.
Where does career coaching take place?
Our programmes are flexible: sessions can take place on location (in Gouda, Emmen and 55 other cities, among others), online via Teams or in a hybrid format.
What does career coaching cost on average?
The cost varies depending on the duration and intensity. A short programme can start from €1000, for example our career scan, while more extensive programmes can cost more. At Care4Careers, we always tailor this to your wishes and situation.
Do you have experience with people from a migration background?
Yes, we guide a diverse group of participants. Our coaches are trained in inclusive career guidance and have extensive experience with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
How many employees can be enrolled for career coaching?
There is no maximum: both individual employees and entire teams can take part. Even at larger organisations, we guide multiple groups, each with a personal programme.
Do you also offer career coaching in English?
Yes, absolutely. We offer full career coaching in English, tailored to international employees or expats.
Is career coaching reimbursed by the employer or the UWV?
In many cases the employer pays the costs, often from the training or development budget. Sometimes subsidies or reimbursements via the UWV are available as well.
When is career coaching a wise choice?
Career coaching is valuable when you have doubts about your current job, are considering a career switch, returning after illness, lacking job satisfaction or in need of new energy and direction.

Career coaching is suitable for anyone who wants more insight into their career, from starters to experienced professionals and people over 50.
