Questions about career coaching in The Hague
I am stuck at my grade. Does coaching help with that?
Often it does, though the outcome is not always a higher grade. Sometimes the real wish turns out to be more responsibility, sometimes different work altogether. In addition there is what kind of work suits me.
How many sessions and over what period?
Usually six sessions, spread across roughly a quarter. We publish our rates on the cost of career coaching.
Will my employer pay for it?
At many employers here they will, from the training budget or the career budget in the collective agreement. How that works is described at career guidance for employers. Reckon on 1,000 euro before VAT for a scan, more once it broadens.
Does it stay confidential?
Yes. If you pay yourself, nobody hears anything about it. If your employer contributes, we set down in advance which information is and is not shared.

Not necessarily, but it takes translation. Long service builds depth and a network; it is our job to make that visible to someone who does not know your organisation from the inside.
