Who pays for this?
The cost falls to your employer, arranged by way of the social plan or the settlement agreement. The lower bound is 2,000 euros and the upper 5,000, both excluding VAT. Which figure applies to you follows from the components you choose. Get the agreement checked ahead of signing anything: having your settlement agreement reviewed.
Can I include a course in the programme?
A course is not part of the outplacement programme, but budget for one can often be found. Training money sits in the social plan in some cases; in others a new employer chips in. We work out which course actually makes a difference before you spend anything.
I work on the site and want out. Where can I go?
Further than you think. Working on a chemical site means working with protocols, safety thinking and continuous production, and all three count in food, pharmaceuticals, waste processing and energy. The site is what is unusual, your way of working is not. Putting that experience on paper is covered in writing a CV after redundancy.
Do you search in Germany as well?
If you want us to. Across the German border, fifteen minutes away, engineering and logistics cannot find enough people. A job across the border does alter your social security position and your tax return. We flag that and point you to someone who works the figures out.
