Outplacement: support towards a new future
What is outplacement?
With outplacement the organisation taking leave of you carries the guidance. You keep the same coach from intake to aftercare, and the first introduction is free and without obligation, including if you decide afterwards not to proceed.
Which phase follows which and why is worked out in what an outplacement programme involves.
What does an outplacement process look like at Care4Careers in Driebergen-Rijsenburg?
Our approach in 5 steps
From start to close three to six months, divided into five phases that connect. That makes an outplacement programme something other than a series of loose conversations about applying.
Many people opt for a modular programme: together with your coach you decide where to put the effort. Here you will find our modules.
Personal intake
What do you think back to when you think of your old job: what you did or where you were? That answer steers everything.
Coaching and assessment
What can you do, and which part of it is tied to that one organisation rather than to you?
Preparing for the market
Your profile is written for the route you choose; searching on organisation asks a different CV from searching on role.
Job search and network
You approach employers yourself, and searching on setting means knocking without a vacancy being advertised.
Aftercare and support
You have started and we test whether you get back what you wanted to keep.

Turning a change at work into a new direction
When outplacement is used
The label attached to your departure matters less than what you need to do afterwards. That determines how the programme is shaped.
Organisational change makes you redundant
When your position disappears, we reposition your professional experience for an external job market.
Your contract ends and another phase begins
The known finish date can become a timetable for career exploration, profile work and first market steps.
Employer and employee agree on departure
A jointly arranged termination can contain funding for professional transition guidance.
Returning to the same position is not a realistic route
If a long absence eventually leads to departure, we consider what work and conditions may provide a better next step.
Outplacement in Driebergen-Rijsenburg
From work to work, or back to the same surroundings
Making that distinction helps you build a search profile that goes beyond simply looking for vacancies with your current job title.
We know the organisations on the Heuvelrug
The institutes and foundations, the care providers, the schools and the offices towards Zeist and Utrecht. Which of them run a formal procedure and which decide in a corridor conversation, we know from experience.
Trade and setting we pull apart
A few concrete examples of good working days usually show within two conversations what you were attached to. That is more usable than a general question about what you are looking for.
The cost is carried by your old employer
What was agreed belongs in your termination document. Have it assessed before you put your signature to it: having your settlement agreement reviewed.
The first months after you start as well
Whether a new setting suits only shows once the first impression has faded, and that takes about six weeks. Until then your coach simply stays reachable.
What you are working towards
You know exactly what you missed, and it is there in the work you found.
Who guides you
The coaches at the Hoofdstraat
From the first appointment until after your start you work with the same coach, someone who knows the institutes and care providers on the Heuvelrug and understands the difference between being attached to your trade and being attached to your workplace. You can meet at the Hoofdstraat or entirely on video.

About Driebergen-Rijsenburg
Good to know about Driebergen-Rijsenburg
Institutes and foundations on the estates
Around Driebergen sit a striking number of national organisations, knowledge centres and training institutes, often in a listed building with grounds around it. That attracts people who care about the setting they work in, and that is not the same as caring about the job.
Utrecht fifteen minutes, Amersfoort twenty
The station sits on the Utrecht to Arnhem line and has just been rebuilt. Anyone willing to travel has two full labour markets within reach, with many times the number of roles.
Healthcare and education are structurally short
The institutions on and around the Heuvelrug have been short of people for years, including in supporting roles such as scheduling, administration and facilities. For anyone wanting to keep the sector but not the job, that is a genuine way out.
Hoofdstraat, by the station
The platform is a short walk away and there is space for cars nearby. Anyone preferring not to travel does the whole programme on video, from intake to aftercare.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about outplacement
I was mainly attached to my colleagues. Is that an odd reason to search?
Not at all, and it is the deciding factor more often than people admit. Atmosphere, manners and the sense of belonging determine for many people whether they still go gladly after two years. The hard part is that you cannot search on it; that is why we then search on organisations rather than vacancies, and speak to people working there before you apply.
I want to stay in the sector but not in my role.
That is one of the most promising routes and at the same time one of the least travelled. In healthcare and education there are many roles alongside the primary process here: scheduling, quality, training, administration, facilities. Anyone who knows the sector from the inside is worth more there than an outsider, and that argument does have to reach your CV.
Do you include Utrecht and Amersfoort?
Both, unless you would rather not. Utrecht is fifteen minutes by train and Amersfoort twenty, and together they offer a multiple of the roles in services, healthcare and IT. Wanting to stay on the Heuvelrug means a smaller but calmer market with less competition per vacancy.
What does a programme cost?
The amount falls between 2,000 and 5,000 euros excluding VAT. Which building blocks take part and how long the programme runs decide where you land, and that is in the quote before the first appointment is scheduled.
How soon can it begin?
Usually a week after the assignment is confirmed. An enquiry that comes in we answer the same or the next working day.
A whole department is closing with us. Does everyone get the same programme?
No, and with a department that is especially visible: one misses the trade and another the colleagues, and that leads to completely different employers. Every employee picks the modules that fit, together with their coach. An overview of them is at the programme in modules.
