Reintegration agency Amersfoort

What track two involves

Finding other work, with travel time factored in

As soon as a return to the employee's own work is ruled out and the organisation itself has no suitable position, the second track comes up. What remains achievable is established, capacity is rebuilt and employers that match are approached. A description per phase is given at the second track programme.

Besides the statutory obligation, the secondment arrangement plays a part here. Someone employed by one company while working at another deals with two parties who both have a view on what should happen, and that calls for clear agreements early on.

Our office

Second-track reintegration in Amersfoort and nearby

Our Amersfoort location is on Arnhemseweg, on the south-east side and easy to reach by car. This city runs on professional services, IT and healthcare, and that brings a quirk with it: a striking number of people here do not work directly for the client but through a secondment firm, an agency or a temporary contract. Which kind of contract ends changes your position entirely.

At a secondment agency the second track lies differently than at an ordinary employer. The employee is on your payroll but works at a client, and the moment they drop out that assignment is usually the first thing to go. The obligation, however, stays with you, along with everything that involves in searching and recording.

About Amersfoort

Good to know about Amersfoort

Secondment is no exception here

Around Amersfoort sits a dense layer of secondment and consultancy firms in IT, finance and engineering. You work at one organisation and are employed by another, which at the end produces two conversations instead of one.

A junction in four directions

From the station you reach Utrecht Centraal in a quarter of an hour and Amsterdam in forty minutes, with Apeldoorn and Zwolle in between. Few cities give that much reach without moving house.

IT and healthcare growing at once

Demand for IT people here has outstripped supply for years, and healthcare is in the same boat. They are two worlds that rarely attract the same people, while the move between them is more feasible than assumed.

Arnhemseweg, on the south-east side

There is parking close by and the bus from the station takes only a few minutes. Travelling not an option, and the sessions take place online.

The assignment lapses, the obligation stays

Once the client fills the post, it can look as though nothing remains internally. The search then begins with your own organisation and with the other clients in your portfolio.

In office work the limit is invisible

Concentration, stimuli, screen time and the number of hours in a row are more often the obstacle here than lifting. A judgement that leaves them out puts roles on the list that nobody can sustain.

Four directions within forty minutes

Utrecht a quarter of an hour away, Apeldoorn and Zwolle half an hour, Amsterdam forty minutes. That makes the search area large, provided the travel fits the build-up.

IT and healthcare are open here

In both sectors demand has outrun supply for years. Employers there look sooner at what someone can do than at what stands in the way.

What the programme looks like

From intake to aftercare, step by step

The steps below make up the second track programme, the route towards work with another employer. The order is fixed, the content depends on the employee, and the recording follows the Gatekeeper Improvement Act.

1

Intake meeting and situation overview

The first conversation serves to establish where the employee stands. Alongside the medical opinion, the work history and the wishes, with a secondment arrangement we map out what has already been tried at the client. From that conversation follows an action plan that fits within the formal frameworks.

2

Capacity analysis & occupational health assessment

The second step gives capacity a written basis. The FML and the supporting medical information indicate which work remains possible, with screen time, consecutive hours and travel time weighed separately. The outcome enters the reintegration plan as an objective, with monthly reporting to all parties involved.

3

Career scan & personal coaching

The career scan surfaces the employee's strengths. Someone who has worked through secondment at a range of clients holds more varied experience than a single job title reveals. Tests, assignments and conversations produce a profile that makes that spread visible.

4

Labour market exploration & job matching

That profile is then matched to what is being asked for. IT, healthcare and business services are all recruiting here, and Utrecht is fifteen minutes away by train. Where the move turns out too large in one go, we schedule a practical period first.

5

Active job search & network approach

The employee approaches employers, both on posted roles and beyond them. CV and profile are sharpened per target group and conversations rehearsed beforehand. Which contacts were made, coach and employee discuss at the end of every week.

6

Aftercare and sustainable placement

The final two months serve as aftercare. That is when it becomes clear whether the screen time and the journey hold up in practice as agreed. The coach remains reachable, keeps the reporting current and submits the closing reintegration report as the UWV requires.

Where we look first

Four things that work differently in this region

Four features of the Amersfoort labour market sit differently from average, and they determine where we start searching.

  • The assignment has usually already been filled

At a secondment firm, the position at the client typically disappears within weeks. Searching internally then means something different from a permanent employer, and it matters to record what was examined and at which party.

  • A quarter of an hour by rail doubles the list

Counting the train in opens up a considerably larger market without moving house. Whether that journey is feasible follows from the occupational health assessment, and we settle it before starting the search.

  • IT and healthcare are both recruiting here

In both sectors demand has exceeded supply for years, while they rarely attract the same candidates. For someone from one of the two, the other is therefore worth exploring more often than expected.

  • The limitation lies in the strain, not the trade

In office work it comes down mainly to screen time, consecutive hours and the level of distraction. Once those are named separately, the trade itself often turns out to remain workable; a period in a work experience placement makes that visible.

What the programme leads to

The employee works within a travelling distance they can manage, and the file shows which parties undertook what, and when.

Services, IT and healthcare

Why employers in this region bring us in

Business services, IT and healthcare shape this labour market, with a dense layer of secondment firms around them. It is precisely in that arrangement that a second track quickly becomes complicated.

Two parties, one file

Someone employed by one company while working at another has a file in which both parties appear. We record who is responsible for what, so that no gap opens up between the two at the assessment.

Reach in four directions

Utrecht is a quarter of an hour away, Amsterdam forty minutes, with Apeldoorn and Zwolle in the other direction. That creates room without travel time becoming unmanageable, provided capacity allows it.

Screen time is a factor in its own right

For office roles it is often screen time rather than the field of work that sets the limit. We advise having it named separately, because it determines which work qualifies as suitable.

The documentation grows with the programme

Entries are made the same day, with the date and the response alongside. Nothing has to be assembled afterwards for the assessment.

Questions from the Eemland region

What employers here are dealing with

When does a second-track programme become relevant?

Week 52 is the outer limit; if the company doctor calls a return to the employee's own work unlikely, it can be earlier. With a secondment arrangement an early start pays off doubly, because the position at the client is usually taken over quickly. The lead time is at the duration of a second track programme.

What is a programme going to cost?

That is determined by the duration and by what the programme contains. You receive the quotation before the start, listing the components and the corresponding costs, and no supplementary invoice follows afterwards.

Our employee is on secondment. Who is responsible?

The employer the person is contracted to carries responsibility for the reintegration, even where the work was performed elsewhere. What the client attempted does count as effort, so record what was examined there.

Our employee lives here and worked in Amsterdam. Does that change anything?

It does make a difference. The daily journey belonged to the old role and does not automatically hold while hours are being built back up. Searching within Amersfoort and Utrecht then often produces something sooner, and we record that choice with its grounds.

Can we submit several cases at once?

Yes. Every employee gets a coach and a file of their own; capacity and background differ from one person to the next. You keep one point of contact and we can go through the reporting as a single package.

Where is your Amersfoort office?

Arnhemseweg 6, 3817 CH Amersfoort, on the south-east side of the city. Give us notice of your visit and a coach is put in the diary.

Which municipalities belong to this service area?

Leusden, Soest, Baarn, Nijkerk, Barneveld, Bunschoten and Woudenberg fall under it. We bring the Utrecht market in as soon as you start looking that way.

Our employee was on secondment. Where do we search internally then?

Within your own organisation and across your whole client base. The original assignment being filled does not mean nothing fits anywhere. Record which places you looked at and why they fell away.

The employee wants to go back to the same client. Is that possible?

If it runs through you, that is the first track and not the second, because the employer does not change. For track 2 a different employment contract has to come into view.

How far may we let them travel?

There is no fixed figure; it follows from the capacity. If someone works half days, travel time comes off those hours. Have the company doctor or occupational expert name a limit, and bear in mind that a wage sanction works out dearer than a wider search.

Is something left unanswered? Put it to us in a conversation that carries no cost.

Who you will speak to

Reintegration coaches in Amersfoort

One coach for the employee and one telephone number for the case manager. With a secondment arrangement that matters all the more, because otherwise two parties end up informing each other in parallel.
