Outplacement: support towards a new future
What is outplacement?
Outplacement provides support in finding a suitable next step and is usually funded by the employer. You work with a dedicated coach throughout the programme. The first introductory meeting is free and without obligation.
How the phases hang together is explained on what an outplacement programme involves.
What does an outplacement process look like at Care4Careers in Tilburg?
Our approach in 5 steps
Five steps, three to six months together. A settled direction puts you at the lower end of that range; still having to find one puts you at the upper. That is what sets an outplacement programme apart from ad hoc advice: the order is fixed, even when the pace differs. More about outplacement as a route is on the service page.
Many people opt for a modular programme: together with your coach you decide where to put the effort. Here you will find our modules.
Personal intake
Not your job title but your actual set of tasks goes on the table. Every conversation after this starts from there.
Coaching and assessment
Tests and conversations make visible which part of your work was attached to the organisation and which part to you.
Preparing for the market
Your CV starts telling what you ran, managed or solved, instead of where you sat in the pay scale.
Job search and network
You approach employers directly, with a story that connects to their situation. We go through every conversation together.
Aftercare and support
Only once you have been inside a while does it show whether the job matches what was said in the interview. Your coach walks along through that stretch.

Moments when an external move becomes the logical next step
When outplacement is used
Once your future lies beyond the organisation, it helps to connect career decisions, preparation and market activity.
Your role disappears in a reorganisation
If there is no longer an internal place for the position, we translate your experience into roles and environments where it can remain relevant.
The end of temporary employment approaches
The remaining period can be used for exploration and preparation rather than delaying everything until after departure.
Both sides agree that employment will end
A mutual exit can include an employer-funded outplacement budget for professional career support.
Returning to the current employer is no longer suitable
If employment subsequently ends, we focus on work and conditions that better reflect your present circumstances.
Outplacement in Tilburg
From work to work, with your role as the starting point
What a programme costs depends on what you use, not on your seniority: 2,000 euros is the lower bound, 5,000 the upper, both excluding VAT. Where the emphasis lands does differ sharply per role, and that is what we build the programme around.
We know the employers on these estates
From the distribution centres and manufacturers to the knowledge institutions and the hospital. With each of them the way in runs differently.
Your employer pays, and it is open to discussion
The settlement agreement or the social plan is where that budget belongs, but as long as the document remains a draft the figure can still move. Let the document be assessed and sign only afterwards; see having your settlement agreement reviewed.
Four roles, four different sticking points
Someone who ran a shift has a different problem from someone who managed a system. We start from what you actually did and only then from what you are after.
The first months afterwards as well
A new employer means new habits and a new team. Your coach simply stays reachable through that period.
What you are working towards
In two sentences you set out what you actually did, and an employer has a use for it.

Our office
Outplacement in Tilburg and nearby
You will find us at Saal van Zwanenbergweg, on the business park west of the centre and minutes from the A58. Employment here sits largely in logistics, manufacturing and education, with the university, Fontys and the hospital as the big names. What shapes someone's search is rarely the sector they came from; it is the role they held within it and how transferable that role turns out to be.
About Tilburg
Good to know about Tilburg
Distribution at scale, and it is shifting
The estates on the west and north side house distribution centres of considerable size. Automation is well under way, so roles are disappearing on the floor and appearing in planning, maintenance and systems management.
Three education institutions side by side
The university, Fontys and Avans are a major employer between them, and not only for lecturers. Timetabling, student administration, IT and facilities cover hundreds of roles here.
Three cities within half an hour
Breda, Den Bosch and Eindhoven are each about half an hour's drive. Anyone drawing their circle that wide is effectively looking at the whole Brabant labour market rather than at one city.

The car goes at the door and a bus comes out from the station. Skipping the trip is fine; the sessions then run on screen.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about outplacement
What exactly does a programme consist of?
Eight components are available. The opening is coaching and assessment. Then come CV and LinkedIn, interview training, network and job search, with entrepreneurship and aftercare at either edge.
My work was physical. What if that is no longer possible?
The question becomes which part of the job lived in your head and which part in your hands. Planning, solving breakdowns, bringing new colleagues up to speed and safeguarding quality all transfer to roles that ask less of your body. Making that translation takes time and is the bulk of the programme.
I have been with one employer my whole career.
That is common here and it is no disadvantage, provided you can explain it. Twenty years at one company means you know the organisation inside out; it also means you use jargon that does not exist elsewhere. That translation is the first thing we work on.
Do you look outside Tilburg as well?
Yes, as soon as you want us to. Nearby lie Waalwijk, Oisterwijk, Goirle and Dongen, while Breda, Den Bosch and Eindhoven are thirty minutes off. How far your circle reaches we agree at the start and then hold to.
How quickly can we get going?
As a rule less than a week passes once the assignment is confirmed. You hear back on your enquiry within 24 hours, even when the answer is that we want to check something first.
We are registering several employees at once. Do they get the same programme?
No. In a group the starting points differ widely: one employee only needs help writing their story, another has to work out which direction they want first. In consultation with the coach, the employee chooses which modules apply. Our overview of them is at the modules of the programme.
